Mike.
Ok I have been a bit busy these last few days. So I decided to show you all the variations I have done on color for the snowflake pattern I have fallen in love with. I have decided upon two basic patterns. one more open and one with the clovers at each point. I included a dime and a quarter to show you all the scale of the snowflakes. :D Here is the work I have done thus far. More to come!
I have decided to do the Primary colors for snowflakes as well. I am going to experiment with Pearls and different beads. So far I have used the gold beads and the green beads in one case. I have blue beads and red ones as well. I am going to hit the bead shop tomorrow if time allows and pick up some foil lined beads to make them shine a little brighter when they are hung on the tree. I love how the gold beads play against ALL the colors. I also have some semi precious beads. Ameythist and onyx etc. I may even try those to see how they look worked into the pattern. I picked up some pearlescent beads to put on the white snowflakes so expect to start seeing some of those as well soon.

Very pretty. I like the dark blue with the pearls; very striking!
Snow? Snow? I don't think we've had snow since 2007, or earlier. But I'm in Hotlanta.
Love the snowflakes. I crave some of Pam's Rainbow HDT.
I assumed you were being ironic when you said about it snowing...but then I read Heather's comment. I will have to find a map of America and discover where on earth Colorado is!
They are certainly really pretty snowflakes, I love the big picots.
(Reassure me, you haven't a clue where I live either!)
Snowy, I really have no clue where you live. I promise. In the US Colorado is almost DEAD center of the US. I think Kansas acutally has the center located in its borders but Colorado is close enough.
I am so tickled Heather tatted my snowflake and posted it on her blog! WAY COOL! I'm gettin famous. hehe
Oh I LOVE those snowflakes!!! Last year I crocheted up a bunch of snowflakes for a friend of mine while she added beads to hang in the center. I'm a thinkin' I need to follow your lead and tat up a bunch. I really LOVE these much better!
Snow,,,,I was born and raised in Colorado (over there by the eastern border), don't miss that 'blowing' snow at all! Now I am in Idaho where 'when' we do get snow, it usually comes straight down in HUMONGOUS snowflakes. Sometimes almost dollar bill size. I didn't know that was possible.
Again LOVE your tatting!!!! Thanks for the pattern, will have to try it!
